Pam, I just wanted to let you know that Finnegan (Finn) is settling in nicely. He enjoys going for walks, playing in the snow and loves to meet new people and dogs. It's quite apparent that you spent time handling and socializing him before we adopted him. Even the veterinarian and groomer commented on how easy he is to handle and how healthy he is. Finn has a gentle temperament, shows no agression and is friendly with everyone he meets. Everyone thinks he is absolutely adorable. He is also very bright and has already learned the sit, stay and come commands. Thanks, Pam, for providing us with such a beautiful pup, we love him so much already.

Today it was a glorious sunny morning as Jazz and I walked along the ocean at cloverpoint, here in Victoria. It was the start of a yacht race, the Swiftsure, and there were hundreds of spectators lining the shoreline. It was another oportunity to socialize Jazz in an environment full of all kinds of people and their dogs. Jazz was calm and gracious and did pick some dogs for off-leash playtime. Mostly we walked, "loose-leash" walking, along a busy public walk. I was stopped, which is usual, every few minutes by people who wanted to find out about Jazz and meet him. One lady said to me, "I am not kidding, you have the most attractive dog in the park", and she meant it.
Now, Jazz is growing and maturing. I am amazed that at 5 months he is so calm and attentive. Jazz does have his off leash playtime which is usually a gong show. But he deserves and earns his playtime 3 times a day and does really well with strange dogs of every shape, size and disposition. Also, Jazz is really laid back. He loves being groomed and will lay the entire time without any fuss.
I am getting the feeling that Jazz will be right on your size estimate, 24" to the shoulder and between 50-65 lbs. Every day Jazz will do something that will just make us laugh out loud. He is a loving and wonderful companion that brings buckets full of daily joy into our lives.
Jazz sends his love back to everyone,
A grateful man, Bruce Victoria, BC
Bruce sent a new email today:
Hi Pam, just a note. Not a day goes by that we do not think of how lucky we are to have Jazz in our lives. I could have written a book on the wonderful things that this lovely dog has given to us. Jazz is just amazing and I wanted to say thank you for your efforts in having these dogs available to the world.

Pam, I must tell you that after having dogs for most of our family's life, I am sure glad that I purchased our Australian Labradoodle from Morning Smile Labradoodles. This 11 week old puppy, named Max, is the most lovable and brightest dog I have ever encountered. Having trained dogs before, I find in Max's case, I am being trained. He tells me when it is time to do his duty outside, when it is time to play, when it is time to cuddle, when it is time to eat and when it is time to go to bed. He sits, stays, comes, shakes hands, fetches, walks on the leash and uses my shoes as a pillow (and doesn't chew them). He charmed everyone on the trip home from Canada on the plane and children were standing in line to pet him. He barked once on the entire 6 hour trip and that was at a nasty custom officer and that earned Max a treat.
I must also thank you for the kennel, leash, food, treats, toys and the certification and records that you included, you were great to work with Pam.
Thanks,
Bob & Max Wisconsin, USA

Pam, I just wanted to thank you so much for our chocolate Australian Labradoodle puppy, "Finn". We absolutely love him. We already can't imagine our life without him.
We have had him for less than 2 weeks and already our other dog, Boo, and he seem to be developing quite the bond.
He is absolutely the cutest, cuddliest puppy ever. Finn is smart, happy and very well behaved. We couldn't have asked for a better puppy.
Thank you again,

Happy Easter! Thought I'd send you a photo of Bailey at our home with his Easter bandana on today. He just loves the beach. He gets more confident by the day and it's fun to watch him experiencing new things.
We had a great day today, he went to the waterfront on the bay, the park, met many new people and dogs and even sat through brunch with us at a cafe!
He's learned to lie down, stay, high five, rollover and his "come" is reliable almost everywhere. He also walks great on the leash and doesn't pull at all...at least for now. He'll play fetch indoors, but there's still too many distractions outside! Any nap reqires some sort of blanket, or pillow, or comfy shoe to rest his head on. He still rolls around on his back in his sleep, so cute.
Well, I could go on and on, but I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with him, and how happy he is here. It's a real treat training him because he is so intelligent. We also love how he gazes right into our eyes and always seeks us out. He is a sweetheart. Thanks!

Pam, we will have pics to you soon, but wanted to let you know we love Lola! She is fabulous and funny-she is great with Sydney and fitting into the family well. We will begin basic training on April 20th. She has become a celeb in the kindergarten playground and a couple of the moms have asked for your info-I have sent them to the website, as they seem serious about Australian Labradoodles based on Lola, but is there other info you'd want them to have? They have asked what generation Lola is. (ALF6)

Pam, Kia was terrific. She was a little scared when we opened the crate door, but did finally come out with a little coaxing and found a comfortable spont in Nathalie's arms. She is so cute, we absolutely love her. Thanks so much. She is wonderful.
Tragically Murray and Nathalie lost Kia to a non genetic illness but have how adopted another one of our puppies, Kinley.
We are finally home. Kinley is soo adorable. She has been cuddling and following me around. She's also been playing with the toys and sniffing everything.

Hey there! Just wanted to let you know about our first day with Tally. She was awesome in the car. No vomitting, no whining, she just slept. I took her out at Fox Creek for a walk and then cuddled her on my lap all the way to Whitecourt. We stopped at my parent]s cabin to show her off to family and she was amazing. Timid at first, but then ended up playing with my brother and wagging her tail. The best part of our day was when we got home and it was just the 5 of us. We brought her in and let her investigate the main floor. We gave her a squeaky toy and she loved it! We ended up playing fetch for over 20 minutes! It was fantastic! The boys were so excited to play with her. Elliot even said, "Mom, it's so fun to have a dog that can see!" Broke my heart a little, but those are his memories. Did you teach her how to play fetch already, or do we have a brilliant dog on our hands? She either gave the boys the ball or let them take it from her. She is SO gentle! Elliot took her for a tour of the upstairs and explained everything to her. When he came down with her he suggested that we read her "Skippyjon Jones" (one of his favorite books about a siamese cat who thinks he's a chihuahua), he thought that she would think that Skippyjon was funny. I'm pretty sure he just met his new best friend. We got the boys to bed then it was Norman and my turn to cuddle her. We just laid on the floor with her and bonded. It was awsome! She ate, she drank and she pooped and peed. Now we are ready for bed!
It was so great meeting the two of you. You are truly special people. Every dog that comes into your life is blessed beyond words.
Thank you so much for turning our summer from one of complete sadness to one of joy!
Take care. Jolene, Norman, Elliot, Stuart and Tally Milson |
You have obviously given SO much care+nurturing to the puppies. They are SO CONFIDENT and friendly with ALL dogs+people. Your dogs are in SUCH a safe+happy environment which really supports them. Thanks for all your caring, love+warmth, Pam. We are laughing SO often at the never-ending antics of Puccini+Berti.

I just wanted to let you know that Zeb is doing great. He's 26 lbs of spunk. He's rambunctious in the mornings - but otherwise pretty calm and easy going. We've taught him to sit, stay, shake a paw and come (although this one is hit or miss).
He loves to chew - usually anything except the millions of toys we have for him. And he loves his cuddles. He's a great sleeper...Which also makes us all very happy!
Be rest assured he is very well loved in our home.

Just wanted to give you an update on our little puppy! He is doing absolutely great, he is getting bigger by the day. Madix is definately getting his own little personality and is starting to figure out his place in our little family. He is so smart, it did not take him long to learn not to go to the washroom in the house. We even trained him to ring some bells on the door to tell us when he needs to pee. Also, people we pass on walks can't believe how well behaved he is and how he socializes with other dogs. He loves swimming, we couldn't believe how much he wants to get into the water. He is truly a perfect fit for our family, we love him! We can't thank you enough for all your help in the process, we will keep in touch about his progress.
Thanks again, Aaron, Shannon & Madix Calgary, AB |

Ya we did it and he was fine the first night! He only had to pee once...Spencer is really amazing!!! I am hoping in a couple of years I can talk my husband into a 2nd puppy from you...I still would like a chocolate one!!! A friend for Spencer..
A few months later the Penkala's also adopted Lexi, a black female from us.
I let them sleep together last night in the same crate while I slept on the couch beside them...I did not hear a PEEP from her!! lol...Someone told me not to do it, that if they started fighting it wouldn't be good if she couldn't get away...but seriously Spencer doesn't have a mean bone in his body!!! I make them have naps together in the crate too so they get used to being close...It's working...when they are not playing, which is all the time, they are sleeping.

Hi Pam, Leo is doing great. He slept on and off last night. Not too bad for his first night away from home. He pees and poops outside on the grass. He hasn't had an accident yet!! The kids all love him. I'll send some photos soon. He sure is an awesome puppy, very laid back. He loves the chew toys we bought him.
